How to use SSC Signature Resizer

SSC application forms ask for a scanned signature as a JPEG between 10 KB and 20 KB, about 6.0 cm wide and 2.0 cm high, and reject signatures that are blurred or too small. Take a phone photo of your signature on white paper and drop it here. The tool whitens the paper, keeps the ink dark, makes the signature fill the box and saves a file inside the 10 to 20 KB range, with a checklist before you download. SSC takes your photograph with the camera inside its own form, so only the signature needs preparing. Nothing is uploaded.
How it works
SSC Signature Resizer is a web page that does its work on your own device. The file you choose is opened by your browser, changed there and saved from there; it is never sent to a server, so there is no copy of it anywhere to delete, no queue and no waiting for an upload. Most online tools of this kind send your file to their servers and work on it there, and many keep it for a while. This one does not. There is no account, no watermark and no limit on how often you use it, and the result downloads the moment it is ready.
Signing for SSC
Sign in black or blue ink on plain white paper, larger than you normally would, and take the photo in good light from directly above. SSC's own guidance shows small signatures in a large blank area among the most common reasons for rejection, so press Fit signature to make it fill the frame.
What about the photograph?
SSC's current forms capture your photograph with your computer or phone camera during the application, so there is no photo file to upload. Sit in a well-lit place against a plain background, without a cap or glasses, when the form asks for it.

Why was my SSC signature rejected?
