How to use Random Number Generator
- Choose what to drawNumbers, Pick from a list, Dice or Coin.
- Set it upType the range and how many, paste the names, or choose the dice.
- DrawClick Generate, Pick, Roll or Flip, then copy the result.
Draw random numbers between any two values, one or up to ten thousand, with no repeats unless you allow them, as whole numbers or with decimals, sorted if you like. Pick one or more names from a list or split it into teams, roll up to a hundred dice of 4 to 100 sides with the total, or flip coins and count the heads. Results come from the browser's cryptographic random source with no bias toward any value, and can be copied in one click.
How it works
Random Number Generator is a web page that does its work on your own device. Everything you type or choose is worked out by your browser and never sent to a server, so nothing is stored and there is nothing to delete. There is no account, no sign-up and no limit on how often you use it.

Fair random numbers, names, dice and coins
Pick a range and how many numbers you need, and the generator draws them, with no repeats unless you allow them, as whole numbers or with up to three decimals, sorted or in the order drawn. Switch to Pick from a list to draw a winner, choose who goes first or split a class into teams; roll any number of 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20 or 100-sided dice with the total; or flip one coin or a thousand and count the heads. Every result can be copied.
Why the results are fair
The numbers come from your browser's cryptographic random source, the same one used to make encryption keys, not from the simpler generator many sites use. A common shortcut, taking a large random number and finding its remainder, slightly favours small results; this generator throws away the few values that would cause that bias, so every number in the range, every name and every face of a die is exactly as likely as the others. Names are drawn by shuffling the whole list, so a pick of three is three different people.
Good uses
Giveaway winners, raffle tickets, lottery-style picks, classroom questions, secret Santa, game nights, sampling rows from a spreadsheet, choosing a test group, or settling who pays. For a giveaway, paste the entrants' names, pick one, and take a screenshot of the result with the time.
What this tool does not do
- It does not remember past draws; each click is a new, independent draw.
- It does not run an official lottery or certify a draw for legal purposes.
What it does
- Random numbers in any range, with or without repeats
- Whole numbers or up to three decimals, sorted if you like
- Pick names from a list, or split it into 2 to 6 teams
- Dice from d4 to d100, with the total
- Coin flips with a heads and tails count
- Cryptographically random and unbiased
- No account, no sign-up
Questions
Is this random number generator truly random?
It uses your browser's cryptographic random source, the one used for encryption keys, and removes the small bias the usual remainder shortcut adds, so every value in the range is equally likely.
How do I get numbers without repeats?
Leave No repeats ticked. If you ask for more numbers than the range holds, such as 11 different numbers from 1 to 10, the page tells you how many fit.
Can I pick a giveaway winner?
Yes. Choose Pick from a list, paste one entrant per line and click Pick. Each name is equally likely, and picking several gives different people.
Can it split people into teams?
Yes. Paste the names, choose the number of teams and click Pick; the list is shuffled and dealt out so team sizes differ by at most one.
Can I generate decimals?
Yes, with up to three decimals. With 2 decimals, 0 to 1 gives values like 0.37.
Are the results saved?
No. Nothing is stored or sent; copy the result or take a screenshot if you need a record.
Is it free?
Yes, completely free, with no sign-up.
