How to use SERP Snippet Preview
- Describe the pageType the title, the meta description, the page URL, the site name and the address of the picture to show when the link is shared.
- Check the previewsSwitch between Desktop and Phone to see where the title and description are cut, read the notes, and adjust the wording until it fits.
- Copy the tagsPress Copy tags and paste them into the head of the page, replacing any existing title and meta tags, or download them as an HTML file.
Type or paste the page title, description and address and see the search result as a phone shows it, then switch to Desktop. The text is drawn in the font the result page uses and cut at the widths results are cut, so the preview shows where your words will be truncated. Notes say what to shorten or move; the finished tags can be copied too. Nothing is sent anywhere.
How it works
SERP Snippet Preview is a web page that does its work on your own device. Everything you type or choose is worked out by your browser and never sent to a server, so nothing is stored and there is nothing to delete. There is no account, no sign-up and no limit on how often you use it.
Phone first
Most searches happen on phones, where the title wraps to two lines and the description is shorter. Check the phone view first and make the first line carry the point.
Questions
Is the preview exactly what Google will show?
It is a faithful drawing of your text at the widths results are usually cut, with the font Google uses. Google may rewrite a title or choose other text from the page, and its layout changes from time to time, so treat it as a close guide rather than a guarantee.
