How to use Fill PDF Form

Takes about 2 minutes. You need a fillable PDF form.

  1. Open the formPress Choose a PDF form or drop the form into the box. The pages appear with the fields outlined in blue; a locked form asks for its password here.
  2. Fill it inClick a field and type, tick the boxes and choose from the lists. Press Tab or Enter to move to the next field, or Next empty field to jump to one you missed.
  3. DownloadTick Flatten if the answers must not be changed later, then press Download filled PDF.
PDF Form Filler: Type into a PDF form's fields, tick its boxes and download the filled copy, without uploading it.

Open the form, click a field and type. The fields sit on the page exactly where they are printed, so a tax form, an application or a school form is filled the way it was meant to be: Tab moves to the next box, checkboxes tick, lists open. The completed form downloads with the answers still editable, or flattened if you tick Flatten. The form and your answers stay on your device.

How it works

Fill PDF Form is a web page that does its work on your own device. The file you choose is opened by your browser, changed there and saved from there; it is never sent to a server, so there is no copy of it anywhere to delete, no queue and no waiting for an upload. Most online tools of this kind send your file to their servers and work on it there, and many keep it for a while. This one does not. There is no account, no watermark and no limit on how often you use it, and the result downloads the moment it is ready.

Forms that will not fill

If the fields do not appear, the PDF is a flat page, often a scan, and has nothing to type into. Use Sign PDF to place text anywhere on it. If the tool says the form is an XFA form, it was made for Adobe Reader alone; open it there.

Questions

Can I save and come back later?

Download the filled copy; it opens here again with your answers in place, so you can carry on and download once more.
