How to use Reverse Lines

Takes about 1 minute. You need a list, one item per line.

  1. Paste the listPut one item per line in the left box. The sorted result appears on the right at once.
  2. Pick the optionsChoose how to sort and tick Remove duplicates or Reverse the order if you need them.
  3. Copy the resultCopy it, download it as a text file, or click Use as input to apply another step.
Sort Lines: Paste a list and get it sorted, without duplicates or upside down, as you change the options.

Paste a list, a log or a timeline and get the lines in reverse order, the last one first, ready to copy. Blank lines are dropped and spaces trimmed unless you untick those options, and you can remove duplicates or sort as well. Handy for reading a log newest first or reversing a playlist or a chronology.

How it works

Reverse Lines is a web page that does its work on your own device. Everything you type or choose is worked out by your browser and never sent to a server, so nothing is stored and there is nothing to delete. There is no account, no sign-up and no limit on how often you use it.

Reversing a sorted list

Choose a sort as well as Reverse the order to get, for example, numbers from largest to smallest.

Questions

Does it reverse the letters in each line?

No. Each line stays as it is; only the order of the lines is reversed.
