What happens when you paste a link
- Your browser reads the video's id from the link and asks YouTube's image server for that video's thumbnails, and YouTube for its title and channel name. These requests go from your device straight to YouTube, which receives them under Google's own privacy policy. The link is never sent to us.
- The thumbnail is saved from your browser's memory to your device. It never passes through our servers and we never have a copy.
- There is no account and no cookie. We count visits with a code that changes every day and cannot identify you, plus the site that linked you here and your device type, and how often thumbnails are downloaded. That count says which size was saved, never which video.
