What is my IP address?
It is shown at the top of this page: the public address websites see when you connect, usually your router's or your mobile network's.
Why is my IP address different on my phone and my computer?
On Wi-Fi they share your router's address; on mobile data your phone uses your mobile network's address, which is different.
Can someone find my home from my IP address?
Not from the address alone. It shows your provider and roughly its region. Only your provider can link the address to a customer, and it does so only under legal process.
Why does my IP address keep changing?
Most providers assign addresses dynamically, so a router restart or a switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data can bring a new one.
How do I check that my VPN is working?
Open this page with the VPN on. The address and network owner should be the VPN's, not your own provider's.
Is my IP address stored?
No. Our server reads it from your connection to show it to you and keeps nothing. Visit counting uses a code that changes daily and cannot be turned back into your address.
