How to use URL Decoder
- Pick encode or decodeChoose Encode to make text safe for an address, or Decode to read an encoded one.
- Choose what it isA single value, a whole URL or form data.
- Paste and copyPaste your text; the result appears as you type. Copy it, or Swap to go the other way.
Paste a link or text full of %20, %2F and %C3%A9 codes and read it as plain text, with accents and non-Latin scripts restored. The address is split into its host, path and query parameters, each decoded, so a long tracking or redirect link is easy to read. Choose Form data if spaces were written as plus signs.
How it works
URL Decoder is a web page that does its work on your own device. Everything you type or choose is worked out by your browser and never sent to a server, so nothing is stored and there is nothing to delete. There is no account, no sign-up and no limit on how often you use it.
Links inside links
A redirect link often carries another encoded link as a parameter. Decode once to read the outer link, then copy that parameter and decode it again.
Questions
Is decoding safe?
Yes. Decoding only changes how the text is written; nothing is opened or followed.
