Privacy policy: SSL Certificate Checker
Last updated 2026-10-27
What happens when you check a site
- The host name you type is sent to our server, which opens a secure connection to that host, reads its certificate and returns the details to you. The site sees a connection from our server, not from you. Nothing about the check is stored or logged by us.
- To keep the tool available, each connection may make a limited number of checks per hour; this uses a scrambled code that changes daily and cannot be turned back into your address.
- There is no account and no cookie. We count visits with a code that changes every day and cannot identify you, plus the site that linked you here and your device type, and how many checks are made each day, never which sites.
This page covers SSL Certificate Checker only. The site-wide Privacy Policy covers everything else, and the Terms of Use apply to every tool.
