Government exams, bank and railway recruitment, school admission and many other forms in India ask for age as on a cut-off date, such as 1 August or 1 January of the exam year, not age today. Enter your date of birth and put the cut-off date from the notification in Age on to get the exact age in years, months and days on that date, so you can check it against the minimum and maximum age limits before you apply.
How it works
Age Calculator as on Date is a web page that does its work on your own device. Everything you type or choose is worked out by your browser and never sent to a server, so nothing is stored and there is nothing to delete. There is no account, no sign-up and no limit on how often you use it.
Checking an upper age limit
If the limit is 32 years as on 1 August, you are eligible while the result on that date shows 32 years and some months or less, unless the notice says otherwise; relaxations for reserved categories add years to the limit, and the notice gives the exact rule.
Questions
Which date should I use?
The cut-off date printed in the official notification, often written as age as on 1st August or as on the closing date. Do not use today's date unless the notice says so.
